Extreme Porn

I've just picked up this story via the Sexual Freedom Coalition (SFC) website. I had missed this story as I have the BBC News site saved as a favourite meaning I skip the front BBC page. Anyway, you can view a screen shot of the front page at: http://www.sfc.org.uk/bbc_page.JPG

It linked through to a story in the magazine section of the news site. The piece is entitled 'when does kinky porn become illegal' and considers the provisions of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill (due to become law next week). The piece strikes me as very balanced (unusual in this area) explaining the arguments around why the provisions were introduced and responses from the other side.

That said, I remain utterly opposed to the legislation though my signature and others to a Number 10 petition against the Bill has gone unreported and if I'm honest had very little effect. My view is expressed rather nicely by Libby Hill from Dudley who writes in the comments section:
'Whilst I do genuinely feel for Mrs Longhurst, I was under the impression we live in a democracy where people who were considered old enough to vote were also allowed to enjoy their own sexual preferences in their own home between consenting adults. The people in these images have consented to the act and are enjoying it, but I can be prosecuted for viewing it. Absurd!'
