9/11 and Equality

As the world reflects on those terrible events of ten years ago, the Advocate provides an interesting contribution from retired Capt. Joan Darrah who reflects on what it would have meant for her partner, who was still kept secret from the US military in 2001, if she had been killed in an attack on the Pentagon.  It's a reminder of the far reaching implications that the US military policy of 'Don't Ask Don't Tell'  (DOMA) has had.
