Take Several Gay Porn Actors and Add Kylie...

It's Saturday and thus I offer forth some light distraction. The video below was sent to me this morning by @ExFratBBoy (frequently NSFW) and features a series of models from the US porn website Randy Blue (NSFW). An amusing minor thing in itself but I was struck by how much one guy looked like Ciaran Griffiths who appeared on the cover of Attitude magazine last month (see right).

The Manchester-born actor is best-known for his role as Micky Maguire in Shameless and has more recently been seen as Dylan Hodge in Waterloo Road.

BTW - Attitude this month features a special Manchester theme throughout. It's a magazine that for me, seems to go from strength to strength.

Has anyone seen a straight, lesbian or queer equivalent to these type of 'fun' porn performer videos?

LOL! Well, there you go, I was alerted to it for the first time this morning.

Have you any insights on the question I pose? You're normally good at this sort of stuff ;-)

I don't think the same effect would be achieved if women were in the frame. The 'joke' is about men, dancing around like 'women', but in a homo-erotic way. Women would just make it look like an actual Kylie (or Madonna) video.

I mean, in this vid, the men ARE being kylie. If there was a woman there, the men would just be the dancers you often see, supporting a female star.

I was thinking beyond the box of Kylie - could be anything. I'm also not sure the guys in this vid are dancing around like women. I didn't see it at all in the way that you have. I took it as guy porn guys being taken out of the porn setting and dancing and having fun in a 'hyper-gay' context. We ordinarily see these guys fuck but not dance, and so our normative conception of intimacy is inverted so that the 'dance' is the intimate and the sex isn't. You could alternatively argue that the dance makes their porn more intimate,a s we see a little bit more of the individual through their dance.

It didn't cross my mind for one second that they were dancing like women ;-)

you sound like you have swallowed a queer theory text book.

Try this one - you can't deny this guy is Kylie!
